Hey there Enclave @ Crossroads! It’s summertime, which means plenty of free time (for most). For those of you dating or in some kind of relationship, summer also means quality time with the one that you care for. Have you ever wanted to go on a date that strayed from the classic dinner and a movie? Well, you don’t have to look much further. You can go on a date and explore Shelley Lake Park, right here in Raleigh.

Shelley Lake Park features a 53 acre lake, and approximately 3 miles of smooth paved trails. There are so many activities that one could do with their significant other. The trails are perfect for bike riding, roller blading, and dogwalking, and the lake is the perfect backdrop for a nice picnic. Something that I really enjoy when on a date is taking pictures of the gorgeous scenery. Shelly Lake makes the perfect backdrop. You can even feed the ducks by the lake! Cheesy, yes, but romantic in a way.

There are many different things  to do in Raleigh to spruce up your date night; Shelley Lake Park is only one destination. Where do you like to go?
